I'm rearranging a tune that has a 6/4 bar in it, but every time I try to change it in Bar Settings, it gives me an error saying "Value entered is out of range." What am I doing wrong? KC
KC - you'll need to split it into two bars. Our program manual has an example for 6/4:
...we will split the 6/4 bar into 2 bars, a 4/4 bar and a 2/4 bar. Insert a # beats per bar =2 at the beginning of the 2/4 bar, then restore the time signature to 4/4 by assigning # beats per bar =4 for the next bar
It's so convoluted the way it displays the bars. I mean, it goes back to beat 1 on beat 3 of the next bar. But then I have to add 2 more beats to every bar so beat 1 comes in ON BEAT 1. I'm going to post a scrnshot so my English makes sense.
I think possibly the problem is that all the bars had been entered as 4/4 first, then bar 23 was changed to 2/4 which effectively shifted the 3rd beat from bar 23 into bar 24, which is not what you probably wanted.
Possibly one way to achieve this would be to set the number of beats to 2/4 on bar 23, enter the chord for the first 2 beats of the 6/4 bar, and then set 4/4 on bar 24 and then enter the chords for the last 4 beats of the 6/4 bar.
