I mean, we got plenty of Christmas songs, obviously, but also songs about summer, winter, spring, birthdays and whatnot, but nothing I can think of that specifically pertains to Easter Just something I came to ponder for the occasion...

Commercialization is a lot more at Christmas?
I just directed music at an Easter service, and most Christians at least would be able to hum the melody of several songs. These are hymns, but then most of the popular Christmas carols are also hymns; they just got picked up more by popular music.

Who doesn't write resurrection day songs? Here's something I wrote quite a while back. Jesus is Risen

Easter has never really caught on like Christmas as far as commercialism. The candy industry tries. It may be that it is still too "religious". I don't mean that in a bad or insulting way. It should be religious. But it is very Christian obviously while Christmas has grown to be celebrated by a lot of people that are not Christian. Just my 2 cents. I think it boils down to being able to talk about Easter without talking about Christ is harder than talking about Christmas as a secular holiday which, for many, it has become.
My wife asked if I had seen the dog bowl. I told her I didn't even know he could.

"Easter songs" - How come that's not a thing?
Maybe because Easter is such a minor holiday that it doesn't merit songs. A fictional character rises from the dead and ascends into heaven after saying goodbye to a few of his friends.
It doesn't inspire people to write songs about it. LOL!

LOL all you want! I normally let stuff like that slide, but not this time! The resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ is THE MAIN inspiration for my writing (and several others here I believe) whether you appreciate it or not! Easter is not a minor holiday to millions upon millions of people! If my opinion on this gets me kicked out of this forum, that's fine with me! The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the capstone in the arch of Christianity...without it everything falls apart! The secular historian Josephus from that era even documented that fact He was risen!
