At the suggestion of Christian Devienne "Chris37" based on a song written by himself and David Cuny, I made a video montage consisting mainly of archive images in honor of the brave fighters who landed on the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944 and whose 80th anniversary will be commemorated this year.

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

Howdy Laurent....

I agree with BT.
Being as how I was in the military also I think this is a heartfelt tribute and I enjoyed the video.
If one thinks about it long enough one may need to clean their glasses.

Well done!

That is a fine tribute to those brave soldiers and especially to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Well done!

Laurent, an absolutely brilliant tribute, especially to those whom made the ultimate sacrifice.
Loved it.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hi Laurent.

What you, Chris and David have created is a wonderful testament to heroism and a fine record of history. Here in Australia, tomorrow is April 25th. This is called ANZAC day, and it is a day that we commemorate fallen soldiers. So, sitting here right now, and watching and listening to your creation, is most appropriate. It's quite a solemn experience for me.

I also notice that you are from Normandie, France. That you live where all this happened is a remarkable coincidence and, as I'm watching your video with David and Chris's song, it helps to make this episode of history even more real for me. I'm guessing that in earlier years when many of the people from Normandie who had lived through World War 2 were still alive, you would have heard many stories of D-Day, the conflict, the heroism and the terrible human toll.

Thank you for posting this, and thank you to the three of your for creating such a thought-provoking audio-visual journey.

Thank you all for your warm comments. Indeed there are many stories on this subject but they are very painful because we must understand that we did not simply have to set foot on the beaches but that afterwards they had to conquer every road, every hamlet, every field. And each time men died for it. So we must not forget and honor them.

Another great song to the Greatest Generation!!

Well done.

So glad we didn't have to land on Normandy today.

People would just start crying and have a protest riot, and then break out into tears again when they couldn't log into Facebook.

Meanwhile, we would all be living on a potato farm.
