The labels for the lower tracks in the bar settings box don't line up with the pull downs. BIAB 1111 Win. Screenshot attached. Just an inconvenience. Thanks.
Good pickup. This has been reported to the developers.
BIAB & RB2026 Win.(Audiophile), Windows 10 Pro & Windows 11, Cakewalk Bandlab, Izotope Prod.Bundle, Roland RD-1000, Synthogy Ivory, Session Keys Grand S & Electric R, Kontakt, Focusrite 18i20, KetronSD2, NS40M, Pioneer Active Monitors.
Thunderthud, Good catch! Since we are on the topic of F5, would you agree that a better way (for user) would be to have a single list of all tracks in F5 menu instead of some showing in the list and the others have to be hunted for in the dropdown menu? I am VERY curious on honest user opinion(s) on this.
P.S. I believe it would be more convenient to have same workflow for all tracks. AKA "All tracks are equal".
I agree that it's far less than ideal to have two different methods in the one dialog to achieve the same thing. Definitely not equal at this stage, and more work required to deliver this.

Sure, that would be great. But I was so thankful for what we got in 2024 version (I didn't want to sound greedy). It has looked to me that PG has been looking to deprecate bar settings use. However, I find using Bar Setting a much quicker way to get things done. Then, you can go back and tweak if needed with volume automation or the tracks view, to get rid of glitchy remnants. .
It would be a big mistake to deprecate F5 as it's quickest way to flesh basic parts. It would take significantly (!) more steps to do similar with volume automation.
I just think it would be just easier and less confusing for users to have it all on one page.
Volume automation is great for fine adjustments , final draft, but because you can't simulteneously adjust several tracks, it is a much, much slower process. F5 is just irreplaceable

for me with vision impairment ive always found over loads of years and irrespective of daw used vol auto is too fiddly. way too fiddly. now the eye docs have improved my sight somewhat... (im ecstatic)...ive tried vol auto again in the spirit of openness and still it frustrates me.
one of the reason i still use reaps v2 is i can split bits of my vocal tracks and useing a cursor visually see the waveforms change... so i can reduce or boost bits of vocals useing just an up down cursor and normalisation...oh how i wish i could do this in thenew fab bb tracks view...its a way better way to balance bits of track and then just glue to finish...and obviates the need to use comp lim plugins which can sometimes create side effects. I really hope pg realise that the new fab tracks view done right viz editing could slay the market. i wouldnt need any other app then.
i agree keep f5 for roughing things out. and implement the feature ive described above for detailed track balancing...imho you cant beat seeing all the track clip waveforms. makes balancing the bits of a track way way easier cos the waveform changes viz other waveforms...imho....than vol auto fiddling around.
happiness.
