I'll add for anyone discombobulated by this style of music that Dixieland jazz has copious freedom of expression and may not have a central melody per se. It's pretty cool, but can require some acclimation. Lived within walking distance of the French Quarter for a while, and recall the musical disorientation. But it passed. They key to appreciating this style in my view is to revel in the joy of the musicians' synchronicity. Admittedly, a BiaB tune doesn't have musicians performing in the moment per se. But Mike did a great job simulating the feel IMHO.
