Sultry Sway on Soundcloud Sultry Sway on YouTube
I once played a whale on bass for a recording of a funky version of Sea Cruise, and it sounded more realistic than the store-bought sound clip. On this one I try a hungry tiger to start the sway. I tried to add a little saliva to his roar. Turns out the bass doesn't do a good tiger. In my last post Dave kept all the cool BiaB guitars and briliantly added his solo. On this one Dave switched out one of the BiaB guitars and I switched out the other. Sultry SwayI wake alone on my bedroom floor, assess the shape I'm in. I look around for clues of the crazy night before, but the room begins to spin. I nearly take a dive through the TV screen, but catch myself in reverie. The mem'ries flooding back make me think it's just a dream. She looked too good to be. Oh, there's something in the way she walks into the room. 1&2-(It's still there when she walks away.) 3-(It's still there when she wants to stay.) 1-(She looked back at me just to see if I would see her sexy sultry sway.) 2-(She'll mess up my tie when she walks on by, and swings her sultry sway.) 3-(She moved in with me. It was meant to be. And now her sultry sway stays with me.) The day began and it dawned on me I needed somehow to find out. Was she really real? Was she really into me? My answers brought me doubt. I make my way to where she was seen last night, and quickly learn she comes in late. I've nowhere else to be, and I need to see that sight. So I sit down and wait. I heard a knock on my bedroom door, and thought it seemed to be a dream. I saw the doorknob turn and quickly rise to see her sultry sway extreme. I move to give her room and she slides right next to me and smiles her sultry smile. She said she caught my vibes and she had to come and see. She's gonna stay awhile. Love the vocal and production on this song - big and in your face!
Excellent track!

Man, Marty! You've really been putting out some great stuff lately. I love the groove on this. You and Dave work so well together. I loved the way you combined that bass and guitar on this one. This was a lot of fun to listen too - the song reminds me of my wife!

Hi, Marty. Big guitar sound. Nice vocals. Bass does what a bass should. Piano fills occasionally. This reminds me of classic blues. Sure, there are lyrics that are well sung... but the song is just an excuse for the guitarist to solo. Fun listen.

Man, that's a TON of fun. Killer opening. Bass and guitar are upfront, tasty and just SOUND great. Fantastic write and love your vocals. BiaB filled in the rest really nicely. Super mix, too. Fantastic job!

fj Thanks a ton, floyd. Totally agree with that opening hook. Dave heard what the BiaB guy was trying to add, but he improved the idea beyond recognition. The BiaB guy got a bit carried away later, so Dave redid the whole track. Then added his solo with the same gusto. Marty,

Bob Thanks, Bob. This one is more like something I would've written years ago. Now I tend to prefer low gear. But this one was a lot of fun and Dave brought it to life. Man, Marty! Marty,
Oh, yeah, boy do I love that opening. Killer guitar riffs panned right and then that killer bass riff on the left. It's all good from there, good choice on the arrangement and production. Love that guitar solo as well--sits right where it needs to in this tune. Killer rock blues tune!
My best to you,
Deej

Marty and Dave, this is a killer of a song. Great intro - a touch of ZZ Top. Great vocal, guitar, bass, and lyrics all mixed perfectly.

I'm running out of things to say about your material as they're all faultless and thoroughly enjoyable! Once again great lyrics and everything else.

Hi Marty and Dave,
I listened to this very cool song on YT. As I said; a very cool song! The song is catchy, the solo -of course- also and I like your lyrics and vocals a lot. And, there is realy nothing to complain about... Oh, ... one thing. After that fabulous intro you pushed down the volume a little too much for my ears. At 2:11 you raised it to normal again... But it was a wonderful song, again!

Howdy Bapu....
This is my kind of edge on this one....grabbed me right away. Good judgement using that opening rhythm riff. Lead vox performed well and Dave's work is stellar per usual. Very cool cut....I think this is tops in your catalog.
Well done!

Sure, there are lyrics that are well sung... but the song is just an excuse for the guitarist to solo. Fun listen. Ha! Thanks, David. Yep, those are my favorite ones. My first gig was as a lead guitarist. The only reason I started playing bass is because guitarists need them. Man, that's a TON of fun. Killer opening. Bass and guitar are upfront, tasty and just SOUND great. Fantastic write and love your vocals. BiaB filled in the rest really nicely. Super mix, too. Fantastic job! Thanks, Ron. I remember pitcing songs in the 90s and producers would always say they want to be wowed in the first 10 seconds. Turns out the most important thing about gettng your song on an album was to be friends with the producer. Marty,

The guitar riff takes us back to the roots of Rock, the bass is well supported at the back and the video is superb. Laurent

Dance floor filler for certain. Dave does a fab job and the bass, as expected, is ace. Thanks, Ray. Maybe we could start a new dance craze, Do the sultry sway with more sway than yesterday. I'm running out of things to say about your material as they're all faultless and thoroughly enjoyable! Once again great lyrics and everything else. Thanks, Chay. You can always just say ditto. I'm just happy you're here and you like it. And I can say the same about the consist excellent quality of your productions. Hi Marty and Dave,
I listened to this very cool song on YT. As I said; a very cool song! The song is catchy, the solo -of course- also and I like your lyrics and vocals a lot. Hans Thanks for the deep listen, Hans. You're right, it wasn't that I turned the volume down after the Intro; the one-note "tiger" bass was raised for the Intro and all else stayed the same, but it does give it the illusion of either slowing down or getting quieter. The volume was never raised --or lowered-- at 2:11 or anywhere else. Maybe you're missing Dave's rhythm guitar on the right when he did his solo. Such an increase in interest can be percieved as an increase in volume. Thanks again. Howdy Bapu....

Well done! Thanks, Wayne. Yep, Dave elevates the interest whenever he plays.

The opening with you and Dave lets us know we’re in for a real treat. Janice said that she could just see the woman sashaying across the room. Dave’s solo is full of attitude that accentuates that sultry sway too.
Playful piano sounds really good too.
Excellent mix and performance by you two all through. And a very clever write.
Enjoyed it!
