Thanks Mike for the comments. I don't claim to be talented: I have limited harmonic knowledge, my ear is pretty bad, I sing out of tune and I play guitar and bass modestly. I operate more instinctively based on the styles I choose in BIAB and I build the piece gradually over the ideas that come to me. I am a musical opportunist but I thank you again.

Nice song - excellent programming.
Thank you Ray for your comments. Obviously I don't share your opinion on the construction of the song. But all tastes are natural and must be respected.

DCuny took the words out of my mouth. Focus on the "correct" syntax of the words as used commonly in speech and the pronunciation of the words by the synths. Take the time to listen to the song and the singers, and focus on the areas where you think to yourself... that's not natural. People wouldn't emphasize that syllable in the word in normal speech.

I often spend a lot of time on that sort of thing. And that word LIVE.... spelled the same way with two different pronunciations. When this happens, I will input the word phonetically and experiment to get it right.

All in all, this shows you spent a lot of time with the voices to get those harmonies. Nicely done.

Nice group of session musicians and a fine mix.
The soundstage sounds really good on the monitors.
Cool arrangement and an interesting take on the heartbreak sentiment.

Good work!

Hi Laurent,

Very good pop song - I particularly liked the vocals and the instrumental breaks.

Vocals - they could be made to sound more human if:
Verses - less words per phrase where a human would not have time to take a breath.
Verses & Choruses - reduce the length of the held notes at the end of phrases slightly.

Well done

Best Regards
Nigel

Thank you Guitar Hacker for the constructive comments. It's true that vocal synthesizers present challenges to appear natural: weighing from midi to vocal and for me the language barrier. But there is nothing equivalent in French.

Very smooth pop ballad, really pleasantly mixed. Nice way of telling about a heartbreaker by different characters. Very good work with the vocalists, they sound very natural, except few stressed syllables on unstressed beats, but that didn't stop me from enjoying a good song which reminds me of several classic hits from the 80's.
