The BB standalone version (bbw64.exe) offers almost everything I need, but whenever using the VST3 plugin, the pain starts. Functionality is limited and the audio tracks generated for the same .sgu are different to the standalone. Either the plugin should provide the same functionality as the standalone or there should be a possibility to sync the standalone with the transport, positioning and the tempo of the DAW. Either way would be fine for me, but I couldn't figure out yet, how to achieve that. At the end I have to bring the generated BB tracks and my own recordings together in one song in my DAW.
I would not mind having some small limitations, like a constant tempo and time measure for a song,but I need room for permanent monitoring of the results and repeated refinement of the tracks and the arrangement as a whole.
Something like the tracks window of bbw.exe for the plugin could also be a step in the right direction. Definitely better than moving the rendered tracks to the DAW and cutting and replacing them from there.
Some kind of ARA integration might also be a solution.

..or there should be a possibility to sync the standalone with the transport, positioning and the tempo of the DAW. You also have ReWire_VST_DEMO.zip load the RewireVST into Biab set it to REAPER in the Rewire list. Dear Musocity,
sole reason why using REAPER only occasionally is, that I use Samplitide meanwhile for more than 30 years, having more than 100 projects in work. There is no way to open them in REAPER or to save them easily in a REAPER project format. It would be just too much work to move them all to another DAW.
That's why I still stay with Samplitude. It does almost everything I need from a DAW, and am used to it. Look and feel and behavior are pretty straight forward, a bit like in the times of analog mixing desks, similar to REAPER. Other DAWs like Cubase or StudioOne may offer more functionality, but they appear a bit confusing to me.

I have been trying to get PG to fix the BiabVST so it will open the same frozen sections in the SGU in the VST as the standalone, also play the source files direct without having to render them first with BBW4, BUT it just takes so long that I gave up on it like many others have.

It would already help a lot, if the plugin would reuse the files of a .sgu that have previously been rendered with the standalone, unless they are not explicitly rendered again by the plugin. I really don't understand why this should be so difficult. The respective files of the standalone already exist somewhere on disk and even the filenames of the tracks should be known by the plugin. Obviously, after making changes using the pugin, this would be a different story.
