Has anyone else experienced this on a Win 11 machine?
1. BiaB as well as a few other programs are open and have been sitting idle for a period of time, say 2 hours.
2. When you return to your computer to play anything containing audio, YouTube, DAW etc, the audio is completly paralyzed.
3. Prior to rebooting your machine you attempt to methodically and gracefully shut down your programs starting with BiaB.
4. At which time you get a Windows error, the circular/rotating activity cursor starts spinning, and the BiaB screen goes gray and is locked-up.
5. And so you bring up the Task Manager to shut down BiaB that way.
6. And when you shut down BiaB your system audio returns and plays normally in the still-open programs
7. And upon a smooth system re-boot there are no messages indicating a Windows (or any other) update.

I don't consider this catastrophic but rather a symptom of something larger at play.
Somehow, and it looks like BiaB is involved, my audio got hi-jacked.

BiaB 2025 Windows
For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.
