Haha, Marty: there IS a setting in the synth program to make the voice talk instead of sing. Well, rap, but you get the idea  Anyway, if I ever need a female talker/rapper, sure ... but, right now, I'm just glad I've got a couple (Eleanor Forte and Kevin) of "proper singers" on my hands (i.e. two voices that have a decent register to them, and sound good) You're so right - it frees up the creativity when one has good voices to write for, and can write freely, knowing that they'll sing almost anything you ask them to I'm really grateful for all your wonderful comments - thanks for listening and for commenting so kindly, always The fact that you think I'm a good composer (not just a writer) is particularly heartening, for me - thanks
