The Drums and some of other backing tracks were from BIAB midi files, way before REAL TRACKS were added. I recently found an old vocal track, and updated the BIAB files with some REAL TRACKS. I am singing lead, and have some SynthV on backing vocals. Elliott, you really nailed the 80's time-for-a-slow-dance R&R format on this one. Always enjoy your arrangements, and this didn't disappoint. That ending is very cool indeed. Something about the introduction of the BGVs at 2:44 doesn't sit right in the mix for with me, but that could just be me. The actual BGV voices sound great, as usual. Hey, and your vocals sound mighty fine, too! If I could sing like that I'd never use a vocalist. Ha!

As Ron said, this a great slow dance song. Old vocal track? Vocal is excellent. I thought the balance between the vocal and instruments in the beginning before the guitar comes in was out of balance with the vocal too up front. Good write.

Hi, Elliot. Nice song!  I'm with floyd jane - love the energy of the vocal, and think the piano is too far back in the beginning. There's a very quiet sax line at the very end you probably intended to remove.

It’s reminiscent of some early original Lynyrd Skynyrd ballads ... which is nice.
Good vocals, band and a very engaging lyric.
Great revival of the tune.

Oh, yeah, I remember the all-midi BiaB with those floppy disks, then real drums and now... WOW! this is fabulous, Elliott. Great resurrection of a song too good to sit on a shelf. Love the instrumentation and build to this, and the vocals are Goldilocks perfect. Much enjoyed.
