Yes, it does that for some unknown reason.
On mine, it sorts by every name that begins with an underscore character, then all of the remainder are listed in a seemingly random order.

Interesting that I'm not the only one experiencing this.

It does make a feeble attempt at sorting. It will sort a bunch of styles using some criterion,
then go back to A, B, C etc. for a second criterion (whatever that is) and then when that is finished
it will go back to A, B, C etc. for another criterion...
And it will also throw in random styles not sorted. A whole mishmash.

A BIAB user for more than 30 years (if you can believe it) !
