Hi All,

Here's something new called LOOKING FOR TIME.

I’m looking for time
I’m searching for words
I don’t need an extension
No payment deferred
If I have ignored you
It never occurred
If I have ignored you
That would be absurd

You don’t need a reminder
I’m not here to confer
You don’t need to find me
I’m not part of the herd
I don’t need a sweetheart
The nights are a blur
I don’t need a sweetheart
So shake but don’t stir

There’s no reason for shame
There is no rewind
Push the fast forward
We’re losing the time
We’re wasting our fortune
That love can compound
I know you can spend it
Cleanse our battleground

I’d be down for the count
I’d be slurring my rhymes
They couldn’t revive me
I’d be out of my prime
If I can’t hear your sweet sound
Those soft bluebird chimes
I’m looking for hours
I’m looking for time

I’m looking for daylight
I’m looking for time
I’m looking for hours
I’m looking for time
I’m looking for moments
I’m looking for time
I’m looking for hours
I’m looking for time

Another brilliant song, Bob. The lyrics are great and melancholy flow is beautiful. I like the plaintive pedal steel in the break. Perfect.

Hi, Bob.

It's always a pleasure to hear a new song from you.

Cool and uncluttered soundscape. Your vocals are a perfect fit for the lyrics. smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Bob, I'd buy your albums just to read the lyrics, and then you pack them all with the perfect music. You consistently create songs that make me say, "Yeah, that's says what a I want to say." Such a treat listening to your songs, Bob.

Enjoy whatever happens!

HolyCow!

LOVE the write.
LOVE the production.
Love the vocal.
Love the mix.
LOVE the cover!!

Your "simple songwriter productions" using BIAB ought to be enough to convince EVERY single guy/gal-writing-songs-on-a-guitar to buy BIAB.

Gosh, Bob. Another. Breathtakingly. Beautiful. Song. Just...splendid. You get more out of a few RTs than anyone I know. Very creative use of the CinemaHeld RT. Another really, REALLY nice one...

Phenomenal.

That electric guitar, in the background, coupled with your voice, which tells the story ... wow.

You, sir, are (I've said this before) nothing short of a genius, musically. This song works from every angle one may want to analyse it from. And it all sounds so simple ... the hallmark of a true great, when people ask themselves: "he makes it sound so simple, why is not everyone like that, and why can't *I* do that?" smile Hats off - this song soars.

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.
