Hate to ask this because it sounds lazy, but does anyone have a quick link directly to the place where you go to file a copyright for a song at the Copright Office? I have something I have to do now.
Also, will they let you upload an MP3 or do you have to send in a physical copy on a CD?
Just thought someone might have that at their fingertips before I go hunting and pecking. I have done it before but it was all on paper, mailing in, CDs and such. If someone knows and is kind enough, I will bookmark it this time.

Interesting what audio file formats are not accepted, like Flac. It’s been a long time since I looked at this topic and the info does seem to be dated in this regard.

Jim, Do you know if it's possible to use the option for copywriting a group registration for music on an album before you publish the album? It's using the word registration for a published album but I want to copyright a bunch of songs on an album that has not been published yet, that's my whole point. https://www.copyright.gov/about/fees.htmlI have heard that there is an option where you can just take a bunch of songs and say that they are in a collection of say 10 or 12 songs that you haven't copyrighted and give a name to the collection whether it's published as an album or not and you can cover all of the songs for the $65 fee. Is that correct? Is that a legit way to do it? 😃

Yes, When working with Pumping Station Road we registered three complete albums; that is one complete album per registration. I see that option is still available. Go to www.copyright.gov and click on register your works.
