Great "modern" Dire Straits vibe, works like a charm. I enjoyed listening, I could imagine Mark Knopfler crooning over the tune. Yes, BIAB is amazingly versatile. Therein lies the truth. Hi, Alan. Yesterday I was making the video for a song called Truth In The Proof. Your music tells me we think alike. I love the guitar in this one. So creative and so well played. I always loved Dire Straits --especially Knopfler. And your recreation --or rather update of him is quite a good tribute. Who else were you and Di discussing? Hi Marty,, Sure do appreciate all that! You know how to put a smile on an old fart's face! And yeah, I think we often have similar approaches to our music. But your production/final product is always so much better. As far as other groups/acts we discussed: Foreigner Stix Genesis Pure Prairie League The Mavericks Looking Glass Chicago (Transit Authority) ABBA Kansas Mamas & Pappas We didn't listen to much long hair rock - it's a genre we stink at trying to do anyway. I love this! To be honest, after reading the song title and not seeing lyrics to go with this one, I was a bit disappointed since I'm a pig for lyrics and 'The Truth About Lies' is such a great hook!
However, the melody and production's movement and 'dire straight-ness' set my heart light! Well done, well done, well done!
