I am still learning and I am obviously doing something stupid! but for some reason this morning I cannot get my head round it.
So I loaded a random track to test my mike and recording levels. All was fine and recording fine. Then I load the track I want to work on. The sound waves and everything are showing on the vu meter when recording and I am saving to AUDIO, but when I have recorded it shows as a amber colour in the audio track on mixer but when I play back there is no recording Help I am going mad...... How can it work on one track and not another??

Hi. Welcome to the forums! If that still doesn't work, it might be because Windows hasn't been set-up for recording. To do this, follow the 1 – 5 on the image below. Although this image is taken from BIAB 2024, the settings you need to activate should be pretty much the same in BIAB 2021. Yes it is set to record to audio and when I click keep take it loads it onto the audio track but there is nothing. I can't get my head around why when using the random track to check everything is working it records fine and sound great and yet when I switch to the track I am actually working on nothing all. it says there is but nothing grrrrrr.

I don't fully understand what you are meaning. When you say "when using a random track to check everything is working, it records fine", what do you mean by "a random track".Could you please tell me which number is your "random track"? (Mixer tracks are numbered from the top down. Or did you mean a random track is another song - not a BIAB track on a particular song. Maybe the problem is the 'track ' or song ýou want to record onto.
Take a look and see if you can see anything different. Of course I could be wrong but 'track' is ambiguous.
