No - I won't post a new song every day now. But this one I started exactly two weeks ago and thought I'd share. Saturday two weeks ago I attended a gig of a band where a buddy of mine plays the Saxophone. I really enjoyed it, they played very well, very energetic and they went on playing till 2.0 a.m. My buddy played a lot of sax solos and I thought I'd capture the feeling of this grooving event with BIAB. Bass, drums, guitar and saxophone sound amazingly similar and real in this short tune. I tried to get the feeling of the live event (lots of reverb and delay) - so no clean close-up micing. I wanted the sound as I heard it groovin' about 50 ft from the band, speakers on the side and behind the band. (I was sitting at the bar ). There was a guy on percussion with vocals, as well as a lady singer. To simulate them I threw-in some adlib vocals just to get the feeling. Best heard with the volume up ! http://www.songramp.com/mod/mps/viewprivtrack.php?trackid=56699Daniel and there's definitely no MIDI in it File:Freakout 120.MGU Key=F , Tempo 120, Length (m:s)=3:22 Style is _ROAD_OR.STY (Fast Ev8 Blues w Organ (120 RS)) RealTracks in style: ~579:Bass, Electric, Blues Roadhouse Ev 120 RealTracks in song: 421:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm Blues Sw 120 RealTracks in style: ~674:Organ, B3, Background Blues Roadhouse Ev 120 RealTracks in song: 403:Sax, Tenor, Motown Rock Ev 120 RealTracks in song: ~583:Guitar, Electric, Soloist Blues Roadhouse Ev 120 RealDrums in Style: BluesBBEven8^01-HiHat,Ride RealDrums in Song: BossaBrushesPerc^2-congas *******************

Particularly liked the "adlib" vocals. It that all you? Did you play with pitch to simulate both the "guy on percussion" and the "lady singer". Very unique addition to the mix.

Thanx Trax Guess it's the groove in the bass. As I mentioned, it was a quick shot at creating this thing. There's a lot of "holes" in it. Dont't know how to fill them. Something is missing, I don't know what. (Melody probably). Daniel

Daniel, I like the sound. It does indeed sound live. I noticed that you used 421:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm Blues Sw 120 and everything else is Even. I did not know that would work well together but it did for you. I like the way you made BIAB come alive. Steve

Thanky you Steve. I did some minor adjustments to the mix this morning but I don't seem to be able to include an "edit" in my original post to mention this. Concerning the info about the tracks used I'm not sure anymore if I quoted everything correctly. I did copy the song-memo into the original post and deleted some irrelevant info. Only now I see some difference in the information e.g. "RealTracks in style" and "RealTracks in song". I remember deleting some of this information but I'm not sure about it anymore, will have to check when home again. I guess the song memo mentions the original RealTracks in style as opposed to the actual RealTrack used. I originally thought some of this information was left over from fiddling around with various RealTracks and deleted some. Therefore not all info is left about the original RealTracks in style. The RealDrums info is correct though. I recorded and exported 2 tracks of RealDrums (drums and congas). Actually quite smart from BIAB to mention original style instruments vs. instruments used. Love this software, I learn something almost every day! And yes, I like the way the Blues Rhythm Guitar 421 sounds in this arrangement.
