Solaria definitely sounds a LOT more human with your bent notes, breaths and other subtleties.

Your guitar solo is well worth the price of admission.
Well done in chops and tone!

Nice band and mix too. The drums sound like they have delay on them but perhaps it just a subtle syncopated vibe.
Not an issue - just curious.

Enjoyed it!

Wow, great song here. It's been an exceptionally busy/stressfull couple of years for my wife and me. I just took a break from planning part of a road trip for us to get away together and decided to listen to songs on the forum. Sure glad I did, and this one sure hit the mark!

Herb,
Very nice song, and excellent work programming the vocal.
Tasteful guitar playing.
Well done.

Thank you Babu.... The others are still in a state of flux.

I'll be finishing them up soon, hopefully.

Thanks J&B.

A lot of work went into the subtle things. I appreciate the compliment on the guitar solo. Not sure about the delay on the drums. I will look into it

Again, thanks for listening 🎧

Hi, Herb.

Nice! Good write and it sounds good on my speakers.

I would have liked to hear some harmony on the chorus, though. Make your singers work! wink

You might want to re-type the lyric at 1:44, Solaria is singing:
Ever mile we travel/bring us one step closer...

I suspect it should be:

Every mile we travel/brings us one step closer...

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

"Riding down the highway Wind in my hair/Pedal to the metal Not a single care" perfect introduction to the classic road theme. Enjoyed the mix, the drums sound strong and the solo guitar has that classic ballad sound. And the bright vocals shine nicely through. I really appreciate the work you have done to make the singer sound so natural, not just the timing of the notes but all the nuances and the tone. Pleasure to listen to this great track.

Thanks David, I can always count on you to find the glitches in the matrix.

So I went in and added a harmony to the chorus and I like it. Good advice.

The typing was actually correct but for some reason it didn't get treated properly by SV so I edited it phonetically and waaa laaa... yep, sounds better.

Thanks for listening and picking the nits.

Listen to the song again.... I did upload the new version to both links.

Very cool song Herb. The vocal surprised me when the song started. Was expecting your vocal. Really good job on vocaloid processing. Perfect for the lyric and backtrack. Loved this..

Scott, glad you caught this one. It was fading from view. I haven't been singing much recently. After my surgery earlier this year and the tube in my throat during the operation, my voice has changed and hasn't yet recovered so using the synthetic singers has been a blessing. Thanks for listening and commenting.
