Can you post the song in something like Dropbox, in a publicly accessible area, and give us a link? Then we can hear what you hear. You can hear the drums simply with the demo chords applied to _Carlow.sty. I listened and did not say something was wrong with them, but I did say I did not like them - too hectic/frantic for my ears! I tried changing to half time, but was not impressed.
