No details up there but the band is cool and the electric guitar embellishments are really cool.
No one has mentioned the occasional sibilant stuff - probably just my ears, as usual but I'd be inclined to pull them don a little bit manually so the songs sits well with older ears.
COOL stuff.

Your vocals are so good for emotional songs. This song is certainly no exception to that!
I listened to a song from 'the heart'. The instruments did a great job here.
I think everyone here must have the same feelings about your song.

Well, your time in the doldrums came out with a good one, Vic, and thanks to Mike for injecting renewed motivation. Man, I really like the lyrics and the way you present them. Excellent band choices and mix. Terrific sentiment in the lyrics. Four and a half breezes by when the song is so good.

Hi Ray. Either it's your ears or mine.
I was told about a year ago that I've lost some of my high frequency hearing (maybe it's wandered over in your direction) and I do try to adjust for that when I mix.
I cut a little more now since your helpful comment.

Very strong lyrics, easy to build a song around it or at least that's how it sounds like. Intriguing start with "I put my empire up for sale". Emotional vocals make the story truly alive, the pre chorus section feels like the highlight and the chorus melody is very strong. The band supports well without taking too big a role, that "dreamy" guitar fits well. Glad to hear genuine singer-songwriter music here.
