No. That’s not how it works.

You can do a minimum install of the BIAB app onto your System Drive in the Applications folder. From inside BIAB you can tell it where to find the other necessary files–those can be installed/copied onto on an external. PGM has instructions on all of this. You aren’t going to be cloning anything.

Since you don’t have the Audiophile version, the drive from PG Music is optional. If you have it, you can leave everything on it—won’t run any slower than installed anywhere else. You still do the minimum install for the required Library and support files but you can run BIAB from the external.

For Audiophile owners, the Real Tracks and Drums take the better part of 2TB drive space. Those files can be left on the 4TB drive that we receive or you can copy them over to an external (mine are on an 8TB TB4 blade). Again, you tell BIAB where to find them from within the app.
