To the best of my knowledge MicroChords uses a Soundfont player to augment a RealTrack so I don't believe MicroChords would work very well with the data in a midi file. Having said that, there is no reason to not use the midi file in Band-in-a-Box and select a midi patch (instrument) to playback the midi.
