Hey, folks. I haven't posted anything in quite a while, but I think of you all the time and just wanted to say hello. Over this past year I've been playing local gigs with a talented young woman who sings and plays fiddle. We call ourselves 'Fiddle & Flattop' and we play a couple gigs a month, which is where most of my musical energy goes. This YouTube video is just me learning/practicing a new cover song in the kitchen.

I haven't written much or recorded much, except for clips to share on social media to promote our gigs. Oh, I may have finally paid for the Peavey PA system I bought back in '97. Been lugging that tank around for decades. Who knew! Time marches on. Which is on my mind a lot these days. Playing and singing are perishable skills and I often wonder how long I'll be able to make music. Which I guess has partly motivated me enough to distribute a few songs. For the historical record, if nothing else.

I joined SoundCloud because it was a convenient way to post and share music in the Showcase here, but they'll also distribute to all the major platforms that many of you are on. I haven't done that before, though I once almost released a song on CD Baby, but then I canceled it. Still, the notion that one of my songs is just waiting to be discovered lingers, no matter how unlikely, and that's part of it too. Anyway, I've been searching and reading your posts (again) about various sites like Spotify, Songtradr, and visiting your artist pages, etc. Wanted you to know.

Thanks for sharing your experiences and knowledge, music and talents. You've helped more people than you'll ever know.
