I really enjoyed the "SSN Blues" played at 44:52 in the video you posted for "Up Periscope". In the section of the video that follows, a sailor talks about the hard shell that submariners form around themselves due to the clandestine nature of their mission. This is perhaps why there aren't a lot of song about life as a "Bubblehead", as they refer to themselves. The submariners that I knew had sharp minds and a positive outlook, traits that no doubt come in handy in their unique mission...
