I like the hook and that your had a different rhyme preceding it each time. Dat Be Dave. No need to say it, but I'm happy to anyway. Thanks, Scott. Cool you noticed. Also, the second line of the first verse rhymes with the second line of the second verse. If there was a fourth verse, its second line would've rhymed with the second line of the third. Wierd things I do --sometimes intentionally, and sometimes totally unnoticed until later, which leads me to believe that Creativity is something bigger than all of us. A great gift. Hey Marty, I love that funny tag about blues players when they die too! Ha ha!
Great song and sound you two! Classic blues at its best. Thanks, David. Yeah, the idea is instead of black or white, blues players always saw blue. Now, when they actually enter Heaven, all bets are off. That is an excellent vocal with heartfelt tone and phrasing.
It so well carries the poignant lyric and melody.
Dave's solo nails the vibe ... the already mentioned word "haunting" well describes it.
As always you played the perfect bass for the feel and that piano was very nice.
And you wrapped it all up with a fine audio mix and video.
