Hey, everyone. Thanks again to all who responded to my other question.

I’m trying to get BIAB to play Fly Me to the Moon which is an AABA 32 bar song. The song ends on bar 31 and bar 32 is the turnaround.

When I have it playing solos and whatnot all is well, but when it plays the last chorus it plays the turnaround in bar 32 when I want the song to end on bar 31. Is there a simple solution for this that I’m not seeing? I don’t think I need to set up second endings or codas because that would confuse things, do I? Any help would be appreciated. smile

There are three numbers toward the upper right of the chordsheet, on the far right of the row with the song name. The first number is Start of Chorus, the Second is End of Chorus, and the third is Number of repeats. The defaults are 1, 32, and 1. Change that 32 to 31.

Via menu Edit->Song Form->Settings for this song

In the bottom left-hand corner is a check-box ""Start the ending two bars early".
Check that and on the final chorus BiaB will jump out at that point to the ending.

This is somewhat simiular to the missing "To Coda" option that I'd like, but the exit point is fixed and for some reason it's hidden away in that dialog instead of the "Repeats/Codas/1st & 2nsd endings dialog. No, I don't know why ... probably a symptom of the development history.

Yes! This is it exactly. Thanks so much. smile

I'm definitely starting to like the program a lot more with all the help I've been getting. The only real program I have expertise in is Microsoft Word and maybe Photoshop, and they're nothing compared to the complexity of BiaB.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately this just ends all the choruses on bar 31 and with no turnaround the song doesn't sound properly. But the next post worked out.

I’m glad. I wasn’t sure what you wanted.

There is also the Tag function in Song Settings that you should become familiar with.

Yeah, I looked at my original post and realized I could have been clearer. Thanks for the reply. 25,000 posts? You're a BIAB guru! smile

I'll look into the tag settings. Eventually I'll figure out how to add a melody but that's further on up the road.
