I wrote this song as a reaction to a reactionary rock guitarist a few years back. My vocals & arrangement were not up to snuff so I asked Marty to resurrect the song for me. He did a fabulous job. With a little pestering from me he even created some video footage so I could insert him into the original flick with some updating as well. Thanks Marty, great result from my perspective!

Fun tune! Great to actually see Marty performing. Just like I imagined it...Ha! Cool lyrics/references, nice arrangement and crisp mix. That lead guitar was nice, too. A worthy resurrection.
Found the lyrics in one of your earlier posts but you might want to repost. BiaB tracks used would be a bonus.
Visited Fallingwater a few years ago. Admire FLW in general, but Fallingwater is my favorite...

Ha! Ray, your version is still my favorite. It was a blast working with ya. Ron, you are so right about the reprinting of the lyrics, and I also like to see which BiaB player is in the mix. Since I am the keeper of the SGU (or at least the last one in possession), it is my responsibility. Here ya go:

Reactionary Blues by Ray Cochran
Picasso reassembled / Les Demoiselles d’Avignon, / He'll follow the PreRaphaelite script, / Seurate has agree / to join the dots, To save himself / from being whipped. / Derain & Matisse have promised, / That they'll always colour / by the numbers. While Salvador Dali / commits to keep it real, / As a street cred rumbler.
I know, I took advantages / And I didn't pay my dues. Now I've been painted into a corner, With the rock n roll reactionary blues.
Frank Lloyd Wright, / Has stopped the waters falling, / He realized apartment blocks were calling. / Piet Mondrian has started to using the circle, Primary coloured squares / weren't the right vehicle. / David Hockney will reject the pile of cash, / He’s heartily embarrassed at making such a splash. Jackie Pollock / has taken on acting roles, / Since he realized the mistake that was Blue Poles.
Andy Pandy Warhol / has given up his stint, And he's now making wallpaper in his famous screen print. / Poor Antoni Gaudi can't work out what to be, He recognized his buildings / belonged beneath the sea. Jorn Utzon's orange is being reassembled as we speak, / Can’t have a house of opera that doesn't reach the peak. Henry Moore's no more - / he couldn't take the pace, He couldn't make a sculpture with a recognizable face.
Orson Welles: / poor Orson, / He’s swollen: fat. He's bloated and forlorn, That is that. Someone nicked, / his little Rosebud. / When he, foolishly, Left it on the lawn.
Enjoy whatever happens! marty

Thanks DC, FLW, not the greatest human being but certainly in the top three architects of the modern era. I'd love to see Falling Waters, I've been an admirer of that building & the man's work since I started studying architecture, as part of visual arts, in 1972. I often wonder how it would have been with technology that was up to speed with his ideas. Glad you like the song.

Hey Ray & Marty. That was fun, especially seeing Marty in action with his double devil (or angel) behind him! Cool lyrics, visuals and performance! Solid mix. The only possible suggestion is the acoustic guitar is a bit too pronounced. Because it's repetitive, it kind of stands out. Great team work and thank you for sharing. Misha.
P.S. "Henry Moore's no more - / he couldn't take the pace, He couldn't make a sculpture with a recognizable face." LOL! We had a sculpture by HM in my university standing by art building. Walked by it daily for years. Definitely could not recognize the face of the subject.
Great, great song and lots of fun! Amazing music and vocals from Arty Marty & Racy Ray - plus a veritably virile video to view, too!. 5 Stars - tope of the class - passes with honours.

I most thoroughly enjoyed reading the lyrics Marty posted before I listened to the song. Marty's vocal gives the song the right flavor. And Marty looks so much younger on screen. It's good to see him performing!
