What am I doing wrong???

I have a project using PNOMOOD1 that I have been trying to render. When I test the rendered file, the rhythm is off and it sounds terrible. Yet, when I listen to the project within Realband, everything's good. Thank you for your help in troubleshooting this.

Update: May be beyond repair at this point. Now even Readband playback sounds off.

maybe if you post a link to the file - i assume it saves as a seq file - we can take a look and see if the problem reoccurs on our diferent PCs and different RB installations

Yes, much more information is needed to be able to possibly diagnose the potential causes.

Save Realband file, close Realband.

Re-open everything.
Are things better?

I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Are you using any VSTi or DXi plugins (including the included CoyoteWT) or are you using the Microsoft GM synth? In addition, what is your sound setup - audio interface, built-in speakers, something else? What driver type are you using - ASIO, Windows Audio, MME?

BYOBAND.

Re: PNOMOOD1.

1..tested here in rb. generates and plays fine.
i used a default tempo 104.
then...
2..i rendered (mixed to stereo)...played back in windows outside rb. once again all good.

as other users and simon have mentioned more details of your set up would be very usefull.....as well as a SEQ posted somewhere so the rest of us can test your song out.
also please tell us if your pc is on the net while doing music production.

(i advise against it dueto how windows works. i use a seperate pc for the net fyi....
and thus get no problems.)

also it might be usefull to know roughly the capabilities of your pc.
a quick test is in rb action>>test audio performance will report back roughly the number of tracks your pc can do.
its a rough indicator but as a comparison my own pc does over 180 tracks.
if yours is very low i would ask are you useing a pc optimised for music production ? if not see my tips in pg tips forum re optimising a pc for music production and useing a appropriate pc suitable for music production.

finally if your useing lots of high pc resource useage plugins...are you ??...
on a slow or old pc this can lead to problems with the pc keeping up with things.
my advise is to be carefull to test any plugin as to its pc resource useage prior to use...ie a test bed as it were.
its important not to overtax certain configs of pc.

anyhoo we are all happy to help but need more details from you so our replies are accurate and not guesses.

happiness.

om

Guessing here but maybe mismatched bit rate? sound card issues? there could be a dozen reasons. Latency may cause a delay as mentioned above if the sound card does not compensate properly due to the setup and the possible plugins.
