I'm running biab off the ssd drive I purchased and whn I change the key or the song or add an intro it either crashes or loads endlessly. How do I fix this? Is it a faulty storage drive?

Hello adlbrk and welcome to the forums!

What version of BIAB are you using, and what version of macOS?

Changing the key of a song or adding an intro are two things that would require completely regenerating the song - from the looks of your second screenshot, this is what's happening (you can see the progress in the title bar). If you wait a minute or so, does BIAB start playing?

Does BB freeze under other circumstances, or only when changing key or adding an intro?

In Band-in-a-Box please go to Options > Return To Factory Settings. If it asks you to choose between MOST or ALL, choose MOST. Then reboot and try BIAB again - see if that helps at all.

I reset it as you mentioned and it crashed again then i ran CleanMYMac which seems to have worked for inserting intros now.

I'm still, however, encountering issues with "bar settings" where drums aren't removed by selecting "mute". I need to select "mute" for all instruments which adds an extra unnecessary step.

Although biab just crashed again when trying to generate an auto intro but then it worked. I'm selecting the auto-generate intro from the help menu, maybe if I access it from the native menu it might work but I don't know where auto-generate intro actually lives in biab.

That seems to be a bug - I've reported it to the developers with id# 4823.

You can access the Intros from the Edit menu, under Song Form:

For your issue with the drums, can you send the song file to support@pgmusic.com with a brief description or a link to this forum thread, and one of us can take a look?
