Floyd, you really have a beautiful voice and the song with the pedal steel is well arranged.
Laurent Thanks, Laurent I'm always amazed at the quality and consistency of your writing, composing and production skills...this is a lovely and tender melody coupled to beautiful lyrics...I think it's a great technique when a poignant word or phrase is repeated over and over to in the chorus or verse to bring home the heart of the song..."if you'd ask" is the heart and beats throughout...another great one Floyd (IMHO)! Much appreciate, Dan... Version 2013 shines.
Not the bells & whistles of subsequent versions but the core is precisely what a heart break requires.
As usual it's the superb voice singing a wonderful melody that makes the painful lyric live.
