I am hoping someone on here can help because the support team is ridiculous. Send them my issue with screen shots, a day later I receive a response that is generic asking for another screen shot, etc. then by time i see it we are two days into the process... (Unacceptable)

I purchased the Audiophile version so I could use the uncompressed, WAV files for demos instead of the compressed WMAs. However, my BIAB keeps loading WMAs. My folders are correct. When I originally asked the question, I was told that BIAB would automatically load the WAV files but that obviously wasn't true.

Does anyone know what the issue could be?

If you are auditioning pre-made sample songs, then they will be .WMA files. The WAV RealTrack files from the Audiophile version are only used when you generate your song.

Looking at your third screen capture, I understand that you are only auditioning pre-made demos. They will always be pre-made WMA recordings so that you may hear what the Style sounds like.

How do you come to the conclusion that WAV files are not being used in your actual songs?

You have cleared it all up for me. THANK YOU!!!

Also, I want to use a couple of the mandolin and background guitar tracks on an actual recording, should I set me DAW to 24bit - 44.1 or 32bit - 48?

It would be great if this works because I am writing about 20 songs per week and if I want to get quality demo I am hoping its not too much of a conflict including a 16 bit sound file in either a 24Bit or 32bit recording.

I'm pleased that this is sorted out for you. I'm a little surprised that support didn't identify that also.

You should set your audio to 44.1 if that is the sample rate that the recording was made with.
24 bit depth should be fine, but I believe that you can use 32 bit if needed.

Hope this helps.

In case it isn't clear to anyone else reading your post, what you were told is true. You might enjoy reading more about this in my article about the audiophile version, here: https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=378939#Post378939

Shane, something else you could do that would help others is to go back to your first post and click on the button for Mark as Resolved.

The way we understand the system works is that it will:
a: search for .WAV files in the appropriate directories and use those
b: if .WAV files are not found, it will then choose .WMA files instead.

The audiophile version includes both file types. The non-audiophile version only includes .WMA files. So there are no special settings required by the user. The selection of the appropriate file type is automatic, based on availability.

There are many here who are glad to help, and you will soon join us. The way it works best is to ask a question first to determine if something isn’t working correctly. If it turns out to be a bug, we can report it to the developers. I think many more questions, though, turn out to be education related.
