This could be done in the tracks section where you could select a certain number of measures of either a single track, or the same measure(s) from multiple tracks, and then have a shortcut to click-drag into a folder or DAW of choice.
Would love to see that for 2025!

I am tempted to give +1. Some time ago I also requested a "block" export. However.... This is the thing: Transitions, from bar to bar and chord changes are dependent on PGM algorithm that makes these transitions smooth, and it seems it's not only volume zero crossing. You can trick midi into many types of transitions, but RT's are different. I can see that it's technically possible, but musically it will unlikely to sound realistic (the muscle of BIAB). Likely, it will sound like loop chops, or transitions will not be natural.
Partial regeneration is the key to do this stuff, as it allows to modify sections, without loosing other regeneration(s) on the same track. It remains semi-frozen. So for example, if you want to change a part you will just work on that track's segment and swap out the whole track in DAW.
P.S. Off topic, but have you experimented with Track View selection and Ctrl+F8 partial regen?

Hi Rustyspoon, I kind of understand what you are referring to with the transitions and how the algorithm operates to smooth things out, (one of my favorite features of BiaB, btw, how the bars "communicate with each other" contextually, if you will). But I'm not sure that it's relevant here because I'm talking about dragging and dropping time selection(s) once a part is already generated and you are already satisfied with it. That is, if I have a song that I am mostly finished arranging/mixing in Reaper, but I decide that I want to change a strum pattern over 4 specific measures to shots or held chords, or add pushes, etc, I can simply go back to the BiaB song "template" that I generated all the tracks on before exporting to Reaper to work on, and then regenerate those 4 measures, if that makes sense. FWIW, you can kind of do that via the drop station, but I think it would be great to have the option to make a time selection in audio view or on the chordsheet, and then drag and drop it directly into Reaper such that it would render to audio inside Reaper as soon as you complete the action.

i find this easier to do in rb.
set rb to daw plugin mode. ensure options set for D n D.
and i drag to reaps rb track no after finding a track/section i like.
note you can drag sections you like to a free rb track.
its easy plus more tracks and track options in rb i find.
rb tracks view and other features will do things bb doesnt also.
frankly i dont work much in reaps now cos rb has been improved.
see my rb tips in tips forum particularly working fast in rb getting a song idea down fast.
ps i used rb to find the nice tremelo sound picture in the pretty girl song in my sig.
as well as other songs in my sig.

To visualize what I am talking about, you have to use track view with partial regenerations. Segments get somewhat altered prior to bar being regenerated. Meaning, If you use a partial regen on "only" bar Two, likely it will capture the tail of bar One beyond standard zero crossing, musically. It is not as strict as it seems. So dragging out strict section (bar Two) into DAW, might sound choppy.
In theory block drag out could work if a user would be allowed to define offset, let say 1/4 of a bar or so from each side of selection to feather in results in DAW. This should be OK for Track View as you can do selection freehand, but in Chord View it would need some kind of basic offset option.
If that ^ can be done, +1

om Thanks OM, This sounds like it might work, except that I find RB to be very slow and prone to crashing (although this may be an issue with my PC, which is getting a bit long in the tooth, rather than RB).

If that ^ can be done, +1 Hey Rustyspoon, I see what you're getting at now, and perhaps should have drafted my initial post better to clarify that if I wanted 4 specific measures, I would likely generate 6, so that I could have an extra bar to capture anything that I may want to lead in to the target measures, (i.e. the pick up notes), and another one for any "spillover" or tail. Then I would simply trim out the unwanted parts of those in Reaper. This process would obviate the need for any offset option, as I see it. Editing to add: This method would also make it easier to line up the measures of the newly generated material into the existing track(s) in Reaper, which would be especially useful and quicker for background and soloist RT segments DB09

I guess you are right, in a way that it would work. The only issue I can think of is that average / new user might get "surprised" if exported segment(s) are not lining up smoothly musically.
P.S. I was working on a piece yesterday and performed likely ~100 partial regens on different segments. Surely, more than half of these affected "tails" beyond selection. Which is a good thing, as parts didn't sound like a chopped loop salad which is common with some other software.
