Hi All,

Here's another new one from us. We wanted this song to sound like an album track from the late 60s / early 70s that has been played heavily for years.

Production wise, this has a bit of a “loose” mix with a “vinyl” treatment. Slightly blunted acoustic guitars, a lower mixed bass, a little saturated overall and lot’s of wear in the grooves.

This is called WAKE UP CALL (with Joliz).

I heard the rain coming in from the city’s edge
A slow unraveling pulling at the thread
You were lost somewhere beneath the fold
I was wide awake stoned and cold

I called your name but nothing stirred
The dawn broke through without a word
I wondered how the light could turn so dim
What we missed between the lines and the skin

It was a wake-up call from across the line
All the songs that we left behind
Now I’m standing here just watching it fall
In the space you left the weight of it all

You said we’d find our way through the dark
But we lost ourselves before we left a mark
Now the coffee’s cool and the sky so bare
You are just a ghost that flies through my air

It was a wake-up call from across the line
All the songs that we left behind
Now I’m standing here just watching it fall
In the space you left the weight of it all
