Hello Bob
While I agree with all the comments above, I would like to tell you that your voice sounds great (guess that's a personal thing). I think you've got a nice timbre there and I kind of like the "sloppyness" in your singing (if not overdone). Reminds me of Bob (!) Dylan. Quite strongly so. I also like the power behind it. No whispering there. Keep it up.
With proper recording and mixing technique and a good arrangement I'm sure you'll get beautiful songs. Looking forward to hearing some more of you.
Daniel

Interesting comments about vocals. Many of us are musicians... somewhat fewer of us are vocalists. Yet, as home recording enthusiasts we try to do it all, learning as we go.

The recurring theme in comments about vocals is the need for confidence and projection. Trying to sing quietly just doesn't yield the same results. This seems even more important than the ability to sing on pitch. If you sing with conviction, TCHelicon can fix the bad notes... but pitch correction can't fix projection problems.

There is also something to be said for having a unique singing style (a-la Bob Dylan or Tom Petty, both of whom are marginal at singing on pitch, but whose delivery and verve more than compensate. )

I enjoy hearing the songs offered up by forum members, and also I enjoy hearing the helpful comments made from the sidelines. This is not only a great software suite, the forum adds even more value, ultimately bringing everyone to a higher level of achievement than any one of us would have accomplished alone.

Thanks to PGMusic and to all the helpful forum members!
