Yes, that's exactly the kind of issue to which I'm refering. When one does that, BiaB can splash melody all over the place. It seems to get things very messed up indeed. I've described it a "trashed the melody". And I have to say that it seems to me to do so pretty reliably.

For making songs for practice I now no longer try to use 1st/2nd repeats.

I note that many people also write their songs as "one big chorus", probably for the same or similar reasons.

One of the reasons that people very familiar with a particular software have fewer problems than newcomers is that the experienced people learn to not do the things that expose the problems.
