Excellent listen, really well constructed song, nice, bass and vocal.
The ending was
Peter Hi, Peter. Thanks so much for your nice Hi, Marty. An upbeat approach to a downbeat topic. Your vocals carry the tune the song, with cheerful backing. Clever ending! Thanks, David. Gotta know where that downbeat is. The backing band and I (especially me) were trying to convey the happiness of life rather than the sadness of departure. That first verse had a 50s/early 60s feel and transform nicely into a folksy sound. You created a nice melody here. I like the down home feel of the song. Neat ending too. Thanks, Scott. Stay tuned. At the end of this one I did another called My Old Country with a nod to what it was like growing up in the 50s and 60s.
