I could imagine this alongside 1st We Take Manhattan on I'm Your man, though in that context I'd expect the vocal performance would be less expressive.
The sociopolitical message is a little more overt than the usual Laughing Lenny but I do hear a connection.

You do “funky” really, really well!
Your vocals are excellent and your performances on guitar made us smile - yeah man!
The BiaB guys, especially the funky guitars, blend well with your guitar.
The happy sound of the music works perfectly with the protest lyric.
Seems counterintuitive but we've also found it to work.

Another great new song, lyrically and musically. Really like the guitars and the backing vocals, but the whole production is excellent.

I don't know Sly and the Family Stone, but your song definitely has a great atmosphere.
As always, I like your lyrics and the way you sing them (both) the most, but the groove isn't bad either.

Cool lyrics, your vocals add a "Lou Reed" feel to this tune. Great mix, like the bass mix ... very clean and clear not muddy. Your guitar work is cool!!
