Autumn Blues

Autumn gets a little chilly. Leafs turn color then fall to the ground, a sure sign that winter is coming. The humming birds are gone and the geese are flying north, at least that's what happens here.

I have been messing with this chord progression for years so I thought it was time to put some leads with it.

BiaB Style - 12/8 at T45 - Slow 12/8 Blues
Tempo - 45 BPM
I deleted the guitar track
Bass - Ample bass - upright
Piano - Lounge Lizard - Time Bases - 1BFLY1
Strings - Kontakt - Amadeus - Full Strings
Drums - SSD-5 - Jazz Brushes
I am playing my Jay Turser Jazz Box guitar and via my breath and keyboard controller the Swam Tenor Sax

As always all comments are welcomed.

Hi, Mario.

The geese have taken flight here, but the hummingbirds are still around.

A jazzy period piece. The SWAM sax and guitar sound perfect here. smile

You've got that sax aching and crying.
Nice guitar.

Thanx David. I had a really bad case of arthritic hands that day so the chords were inputted two at a time and the lead was accomplished with a few punch in and outs. I'm glad you liked it.

Mario, you craft a leisurely, intoxicating groove like nobody else. Your lead instruments are beautifully played, and the band is in harmonious support. Really like this a lot!

Certainly a lovely seasonal chill accompaniment to the lower temps. The sax sounds amazing and some very tasteful guitar licks.
Pretty darn good Maestro Mario!

45BPM is usually a dirge-like song. Although this tune is written for that speed you have brightened up the mood very well with the notes you have chosen over this cool chord structure, Mario. Even the strings seem to prefer happiness over the alternative. Wow, what an abrupt ending. I want more. Well performed, Mario.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Thanx Izzy. Those Swam instruments sure sound good. Thanx for that very tasty guitar lick remark as my arthritic fretting hand was really hurting me that day. I'm glad that you liked it.

Thanx Marty. I'll have to get better at my endings. I guess such a slow song with a fast ending wasn't such a good choice.

The geese have started hanging out year round here but the humming birds left a few weeks ago.
Regardless the lovely view of our forest out the window melded so well with this tune.

Fine guitar and THAT sax is chillin' with a bit of a Lester Young vibe.

We much enjoyed this!

Thanx Janice and Bud. We have a lot of geese staying around here also as some people have started feeding them.
