Discover "hidden" instruments, singers or sound effects buried in a song's released mix. Practice mixing skills. Practice playing a muted track. Solo a track to better hear, transcribe or learn the material. Critically listen to figure out how each track contributes to the whole song. Swap out tracks with Band-in-a-Box tracks to create a remix of a song.
Multitracks is what allowed games like RockBand to flourish. The game is to learn to play a famous song with each player using a midi music controller shaped like an instrument. Sort of like Karaoke without someone singing.
I love mutitracks. I believe they are unintended gifts to musicians and producers.
