PS - at the end you listed a number of companies. Am I to assume that you used instruments from each company and not that they were sponsoring this endeavor? Maybe that is what Ray was hinting? As you said all of the music was your originals. I say keep on posting,

PS - at the end you listed a number of companies. Am I to assume that you used instruments from each company and not that they were sponsoring this endeavor? Maybe that is what Ray was hinting? As you said all of the music was your originals. I say keep on posting, Appreciated. I used various BIAB styles to create the framework. All the companies at the end is gear I used to record my layers (in Cakewalk). Nothing was sponsored; some people want to know that stuff, and they can ask about specific gear if they want. Everything I recorded/played should be self-evident... it's the stuff with less than perfect timing! I did some guitar, but a lot of the music was done via a Casio keyboard and a Roland Integra-7 sound module (piano, accordion, clarinet, oboe, sax, etc. Pulled this together in about six weeks or so. Not that I work that fast all the time, but a bunch of melodies came to me and I felt inspired enough.

...and sections were as good as anything David Arkenstone has done. Also, never heard of this person. But I have to say, I don't listen to music, which may seem odd to some. I never listen to my stuff, either. I get music ideas, record, then move on. I think I've done over 500 pieces (some likely very crappy) over the past 15 years, when I decided to pick up a guitar (I'm almost 60).

It was all original material. It's my music, using BIAB to create styles. You have truly demonstrated the power of this program, that when combined with the application and delivery of user initiatives, you can ultimately establish boundaries that seem limitless. Well done.

Found the (AI?) video distracting but enjoyed the music. Do wish the BiaB credits could be posted, especially with the number of other instrument credits. Sorry, your playing is not obvious to me, as the tracks sound quite integrated.

This forum probably works best for the posters who more-or-less follow the guidelines. Not judging. Well, maybe a little... Well, I already stated this, so I'll state it again, since you missed it, I personally don't give a hoot about any of the above, since everyone can have an opinion. Mine is this: I'll post what I want (music-wise, obviously), and if it doesn't sit well with the forum owners, then delete it. If you or anyone wants to pay me for my time to start giving all the details of each track, what instruments are or are not playing, what I'm playing, not interested. I've already invested time retyping this information. I'm not trying to be a dick, but it feels good to create, only for others to suggest how it has to be presented. No thanks. I'll make certain not to post anything in the future, and I have no issues with that... I simply thought other BIAB users might be interested in what I did. And if it helps you or anyone else... bass, drums and sometimes piano/guitar for rhythm. Everything else is me. I don't use any soloist or anything of these added functions. Have a good one.

How to sum up 6,000 years of human history in 33 minutes... What a journey through time! The pictures follow one another chronologically, and the modern era makes it clear that, with different technological means, the hegemonic discourse is still the same. It's a great job of reading history, with some very illustrative scenes. Musically, although the themes are varied and rich, I would see a melodic power in relation to the harmonic exhibition. Especially for such a complex human story.
As mentioned above - there's no need to bite - my musician friends are intrigued and therefore interested in the BIAB sequences used. Even if they are partial, it would be nice to share them. There's nothing to hide and certainly nothing private unless the exercise is complicated. Someone (RayC) made the same remark to me when I posted my first track. I had omitted to indicate the BIAB tracks used. Ray is a thousand times right, but I missed it and I apologised. It's a question of sharing, quite simply.
I've seen it mentioned in the title: History Repeats Itself (33-min, all with BIAB backing tracks)
So it should be possible to determine which BIAB tracks were used, shouldn't it? If you go to your DAW, at the beginning of each track you'll find the corresponding number. You just need to ‘widen’ the track (in height)

I note that the O.P. and their music has been left in place along with some of their less than charitable comments. Not a thorough cleaning I'd suggest.
For my part I directed the O.P. to the requirements of this section of the forum and then responded very briefly to their arrogant rant response.
Dear moderators: you've missed the opportunity to do the right thing and to have removed the thread in its entirety rather remove folk who a) responded to content & b) sought to retain the general standards required.

To the moderators, I leave it in their hands, and I'm not that concerned either way. I shared, and it was not the 'message' in the video I was posting, but the music itself and what I did with BIAB to create that music. In the past five years alone, I likely promoted BIAB in 200 videos, along with live links in the description, so that's how I do my part, as opposed to educating users on what styles, etc., I've used. I've invested enough time explaining this. Whatever you do, don't go to Rumble and check out The Greatest Awakening... it's 90-minutes with no information on what styles I used, what chords I put in, what instruments are playing, etc.
