Yeah - what everyone else has already said. That is one smoking hot guitar. Then there's that Blues voice that ranks right up there with the best. And Bud The MixMaster knows exactly what to do with all those fabulous tracks.
Nobody I know has the natural, deep-rooted soul for the Blues like you folks. Thanks to you folks - and a few others - the bar gets raised higher and higher. I think the Blues has found its best friends in many years.

WHAT AN INTRO!
The set up was amazing and dangerous because it has to be followed.
Luckily this has Janice & Bud in the mix so the songs shines in the space created by the intro guitar.
Great narrative, great melody, great harmonies, great arrangement...GREAT stuff. Thanks Ray. Yeah, Peter was full on with this slow burn blues. Our fav genre and style. Glad it worked for you and the comments are much much appreciated - you hit on everything we hoped to accomplish. J&B

Hi, Bud, Janice, and Peter. Well played, sung and engineered. That was a blast to listen to.  I'm too lazy to work with a multi-band compressor when I've got the mix. But I can see where it would be super-useful - especially with a "de-masking" option. Anyway, sounds super, and it's a joy to listen to people at the top of their game making music.

The icing on the cake is of course Janet's vocals, as always.
Tasteful and masterful guitars, and Bud's tech stuff is as good as it gets.
Very, very good.
Multiband compressors can be amazing in the hands of the experienced, but it's also easy to screw up a mix with them ( what you definitely NOT did).
I don't usually use them on the 2-bus, but for distorted guitars they are my number one tool.

We're happy it worked for you. The Waves LinMB is designed for mastering. It was tedious to learn but once we found a protocol we liked we then made it a preset and tweak it per tune. Well it looks like everyone is in agreement - this song, and it's production is a winner! Like Deej, I don't understand that production geek talk, but I hope to someday. You are a master Bud! And I sure like your writing on this song as well. Love the effects on that lead guitar, and of course the way it's played. Janice, you always do so well on vocals. This is one of my favorites of yours, and I think your background vocals are often under-appreciated. Blues, jazz, country, pop, bluegrass, your lead vocal or somebody elses - your BGV's are always superb. Great song everyone!
