BIAB works great on Apple Silicon over Rosetta 2. I have an M2 Ultra Studio running Sonoma and Sequoia on different APFS Volumes.

Not everything plays well with others anymore, especially some 3rd party AS only plug-ins.

It's past time for BIAB to be AS Native.

There's a lot of yak, yak, yak... from those recommending the smallest internal storage and running from a large, external SSD. Besides the fact that the M4 will run slower, there are many apps that will not run from that configuration due to Apple not allowing certain .kxt files to load—there is no workaround for that, either. Storing your VIs, Apple Music, Drums and 1.3TB Real Tracks, archiving work files etc. on an external is a good idea.

Some of the above is being changed. I'm talking with Apple and testing some 3rd party apps to try and figure out what.
