I know a lot of people don't like the 80's synth stuff, but I think it's pretty cool and refreshing (at least for me) to hear something different.

Brian,

This is perhaps one of the most sophisticated works of pop that I've ever heard and I would like to provide an analysis.

Those two chords that you used when in juxtaposition with one another and the particular contrapuntal overtones that are singular to the song give it an almost postmodern Picasso type flavor if you can imagine Picasso's blue period being translated into music.

When you said I need you to love me, I wondered, how perfect is that? It comes at exactly the right time with an almost Mozart like precision. Sure I'm a huge fan and you know that, but still you have to know man, that no one and I mean no one could craft a song that is both pop and magisterial at the same time but make it seem also easy with vocals and instrumentation that are so out of this world good it really defies imagination.

But the part that stunned me the most was the very end.

When you came in at the end with la la la la, I quite frankly was stunned and I didn't know what to say.

Who would do that? Who could think of that? How can you top genius with genius? It seems impossible but you did it.

Man I'm putting down my axe. I give up. I feel like Ed Sheeran in the Yesterday movie when he did that songwriting contest with the main character. And the main character played the Long and Winding Road and pretended it was him who wrote it. I'm not going to play Salieri to your Mozart anymore. I'm just going to leave. No one can compete. I'm not even going to try.

Thanks for crushing me and everyone else here on this form.

You have finally done it. I hope you're proud of yourself.

I agree with others, Brain, this is very ABBA-esque which is cool. Great production and use of synth vox.

I waited for guitars to kick in... and I waited... and then the song was over... what just happened!? wink Great pop with pure 80's feel. Catchy beat, sure had been a big hit 40 years ago which means I belong to your perfect audience laugh Reminded me of Blondie, she looks and sounds sweet and sexy. You have somehow managed to express the deepest thoughts of a teenage girl laugh laugh

B.D.

This took me back to the days of ABBA (sorry, can't make the backward "A"). I like everything about this - this takes retro pop to a new level. Really nice work with the synth vocal. The backing tracks are nicely matched and keep this driving. Beyond excellent!

Are your vocals AI or a real person?
Thanks, Elliott.
The vocals are made with Synthesizer V, which BTW is not an AI (like Suno), even though the company claims it is.
It merely uses AI technology to achieve better transitions between syllables and individual phonemes.

I REALLY enjoy this song. So well crafted, recorded, mixed, mastered and then you come up with such a cool video. Wow what did you use to make you snyth a lip-syncer.
Thank you Marty!
So, this song's for the lazy people grin

The visual lip sync is done with an AI tool called Hedra.
I own an expensive video software (wasted money in hindsight) that can do the same thing with a lot more effort and worse results, so these days I go the easy way to have more time for the music.
The blinky stuff around the girl is done with Magic Music Visualizer.

Mission accomplished.

You did an outstanding job on, well, everything.
A bit of a modern pop 80's pop mashup.
Look out Taylor! smile

Bella sounds great, as usual - we like how the intensity of the vocals build as the song goes along.

The mix with all the dynamics sounded excellent on the Kalis.

Cool!

And double thanks for mentioning the ending (you're probably the first one to get that far).
It wasn't planned, but I had moved the “lalala” out of the way (beyond the end of the song) after the first demo , and when I happened to hear it again, I couldn't let it go.

When it comes to 80s synth noodling, BIAB is a bit, um, limited in its capabilities, so I HAD to go outside the box.
Looks different out there smile
The next one will feature guitars again, though

If the length of your analyses is inversely proportional to the number of chords, I'm tempted to write a one-chord song.
