Hi everyone,
Okay, I don't have an answer to this question, and I could probably search it out, but community knowledge is probably easier to do.

Henry Mancini's "Meglio Stasera", from the Pink Panther, sung by Fran Jefferies, has two modulations in it. The sheet music I have doesn't even come close to how she sang it, so for the first verse and chorus, I need to transpose down by four notes. Not an issue. Okay, then the second verse, she transposes UP on note and then for the second chorus, she transposes up another note. So, we go (for me) -4 down, up one to -3 down, and then up one more to -2 down to finish the song.

Since I am not a great musician, the easiest way for ME to do this is to play two choruses with the chords and notes I have and then transpose the chords and melody down by -4.

I've edited this because I went back and relistened to the song with the sheet music in front of me. There are three verses and choruses, and each one modulates up by one key each time around.

So, what I want to do is play the song three times through, and on each of the second and third choruses, modulate them up by one and two versus the first chorus. I want to play the song in one key, and then highlight, select and then transpose only those sections I highlight and select.

Can we do this?

Thoughts and inputs, please?

Gary

I'm blessed watching God do what He does best. I've had a few rough years, and I'm still not back to where I want to be, but I'm on the way and things are looking far better now than what they were!
