...Well they checked and they came back very apologetic indeed. Yes, the UPS had accidentally been connected to the central heating thermostat. Yes, s h one t sometimes happens. Good story.  Indeed ... like people stealing the cabling or, in some places, rats or monkeys chewing though them  I don't believe there are any wild/feral monkeys in Wales.
