I imagine we all have war stories.

I ran an electronics store fifty years ago. The contractors wired the outlets wrong on the wall where I had high-end stereo equipment like amps, turntables and tuners. They kept failing so I bought in my circuit tester and fixed the backward wiring. No more shocks.

I carry a new LED circuit tester to every gig. I also keep long high-amperage extension cords in the car, along with my piano tuning hammers, batteries, wrenches pliers and other hand tools, soldering gun, spare mics, spare cords to amps, spare speaker and guitar cables etc. Can’t tell you how many gigs I’ve saved.
