I recall back in July 2023 Peter G. said "VST3 is planned for 2024 biab." Many BIAB 2024 customers expected that to happen some time this year.
Will there be a free patch for VST3 for BIAB 2024 users who do not upgrade to 2025?

I think VST3 was more difficult to incorporate than expected. I hope they do patch it but don't expect it.

If I recall correctly, there was a statement that VST3 would be added in 2024. I haven't heard any update on this, but it's interesting to know how this will eventuate.

One way to interpret the statement is that VST3 capability was indeed added in calendar year 2024, to version 2025 which is released in late 2024.

Without complicating anything further, relating to the 2024 version, it was mentioned that VST3 implementation was still on the todo list and I understood that it wouldn't be a paid upgrade when VST3 support was added.
If I interpreted correctly, VST3 is not intended to be a paid upgrade in relation to the 2024 release.
I don't think I have misquoted, but would be pleased to be corrected if necessary.

Look like one must pay for VST3.
At lease, PG should fix the bugs found in 2024.

I'll be happy when it stops crashing while scanning on 2005... or asking for .DLL files that don't exist in VST3 world...

Can you elaborate? I am just guessing, but could it be that you are scanning your entire computer instead of common VST3 folder location(s)?

There will be another patch for Band-in-a-Box 2024 to fix bugs, but it is unlikely that VST3 support can be added.
