Hey there friends,
...
Now, I've seen the screenshots of the Reaper projects with the GUI and all that which was posted by Musocity, and I can see the myriad of benefits of using the plugin and how it can open up the doorway to a whole new workflow and arrangement possibilities. The issue is that there are many of them, and I have no idea where to start because many of them build on prior ones.
Also, from what I can tell, there are multiple scripts that accomplish different things(?)
So, Musocity, if you would be so kind as to provide me with a bulleted list of what these scripts/apps are, and how to get started with them so I can see what these are all about, I would be most appreciative! Also, assume I know nothing about the BiaB plugin since 2021. Finally, I have Reaper 6 (I am quite comfortable with it, and have not yet decided if I need v7). Would that be a problem?
Thanks in advance!
P.S. As a corollary, the synergies I mentioned above can, of course, be accomplished by dragging your tracks from BiaB into your DAW even without the BiaB plugin. However, even without having explored the plugin yet, I can already think of numerous benefits from having the option to construct a track "additively" as you go, and being able to open an SGU in the plugin should offer tremendous workflow enhancements for these purposes.
Sorry, I have been taking a long break from it all ! You didn't get much help asking as most Biab users here are not game to try Reaper with scripts and so get left behind in the world from the amazing quantum leap things that can be done, leaving them in the past. If they had shown some interest and tried the scripts to see what they do they would of been able to help you.
So sorry, it just got all too much for me trying to make Biab better

so a took a long break.
I'm just glad PG saw the light I shone and now put direct from disk play in the latest v7.0.0 Plugin that seemed to go over everyone's head.
They are all in this forum and this one >
Add-ons and UserTracks for Band-in-a-Box This is the latest script that will instantly transfer Biab tracks/sections to Reaper with no wav rendering,
but if you look through the Reaper Stash link below you will see many others for different purposes:
Import-frozen-SGU-MGU-realtracks-drums-tracks-GUI.zip This gives the great song generation power of Biab with professional editing.
Use this "Browse" button to set the path of the frozen SGU/MGU, this can be the SGU you are currently working on in Biab.
"Reaload Tracks" button will load all the currently frozen tracks in the SGU.
"Selected" button will transfer the track instantly into the selected track.
"New" button will transfer the track instantly into a new track.
"Set" button will set Reaper bpm to same as SGU.
"Import Chords" button will import the current SGU chords as regions (make sure to Unfold and save first), it will set the bpm and time signature.
If you update or add new tracks in Biab, just freeze the track and save, then simply hit the "Reload Tracks" button to update the track list.
If you don't have the peak files already it will have to build them but once you have the reapeaks files it will be instant.
You can use Script:
