Swap out that .005uf in the tone circuit. That would change the tone response. I'm not sure if larger or smaller would have the desired effect but try each and go from there. That one will change treble response, not so much bass response. I'd increase the .005 coupling caps before the volume controls, currently they're creating a high pass and increasing the cap will lower the frequency.
