I just purchased Band in a Box 2025 it's huge, takes a lot of space. I ordered the hard drive, so I will have to run it from there. I tried installing it but I don't have enough room on my hard drive to install it. I had to do a restore on my hard drive to get it back to normal. Will I still be able to use it? I qualified for the upgrade, will I still be able to use it if I'm running it from the hard drive? Is that the whole program on the drive and not just the upgrade files? I hope so, or I will have to refund it. I hope that is not the case though, as I have been saving for this all year. Can someone help me please and let me know ?

If you ordered the hard drive it should just work from there, always has.

There are several options during the install, so choose the minimal install. Only a few files will be loaded onto your boot drive.

The program will run just fine from the supplied PG Music drive.

Thank you, I just spent almost $200.00 on the upgrade price, to be exact $196.00. So if it goes to a lower price before the end of the year, will I be able to get any money back on it? Or is that the rock bottom price?

I'm going to just have to use the supplied hard drive, don't even have the space for the minimum installation. Thanks for letting me know this information.

If you don't have space for a minimal installation your system needs some relief (more space to work in).
That's a different issue; clear some space (move not needed things to a different drive or something, even free cloud space would work), do a disk cleanup .. something!

It will still run from the hard drive, but it sounds like it's getting pretty crowded in there.

The cost of ssd is less than 0.06 cents per Gb.
Buy a larger hard drive and enjoy life.

Or if you have a desktop, install HD that will come from PGM as internal drive.

Yeah, I'm going to run out and grab a 1TB now. Couldn't believe the sale prices when I just checked.
I have an empty M2 slot calling.

I have never seen the price reduced further than the on-sale special price. I would be confident to say that you have paid the 'rock bottom price'.

I agree about the good price.

I agree with rharv that you need action on your internal drive. You really need at least 15% free space on a spinner drive and 20% on an SSD.

To be clear, the minimal install really is quite small though.
